Round 2...

of 2008 posts and also the first Wii instalment of the greatest Gamecube game of all time. I know it's not technically the second since the original was on N64 but I didn't play that one therefore it did not exist.

Super Smash Brothers: Brawl is a great followup despite the long wait and before you ask I will list some important points:

I did reserve the copy two months ago
I did not go to the midnight early release
I did not play in the tournament

despite being the two time Auburn Champion of Super Smash Bros. Melee ('04 and '05) and as much as I would like to pretend I chose to be less nerdy it was in the interest of marital bliss. My wife and I had a big list of projects to do Sunday and I knew that if I picked the game up Saturday night at midnight I would more than likely get into trouble when it was late Sunday night and I had not finished anything I was supposed to do. Long story short, pictures went up before the game came home and I played the hell out of it when it did. So far it's great the game plays just like Melee with better graphics, more charachters and levels. The online thing seems great but I haven't gotten to do a fight online just yet. I need to get some "Friend codes" so I can play with anyone that's got the game. In other news I got "Superbad" at Blockbuster for $3 and I felt like I was stealing it. I have bought alot of DVDs used and of eBay but I have never gotten a movie for that cheap.

I am reading a few books right now but I only finished one since my last blog and this great one was thanks to Jason G.

The World Without Us - Alan Weisman (5 out of 5) It is a very interesting look at nature and its way of taking back over what man has left behind and expanding that to what would happen if all people were gone. He takes things from the past and small events that are currently happening and translates them into the big picture. It was interesting from beginning to end and it reminds me alot of Bill Bryson.
